Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref TRP0713 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for THE SWANKY BAR at TARBERT in CO. KERRY with PATRICK JOHN PRENDERVILLE as licensee.[1]

In 2012, the Kerryman reported that a “Farmers’ Fair” was planned at Tarbert’s Swanky Bar (June 16, 2012), including events such as a milking competition and a “wellie drinking” competition.[2]

The Kerryman also reported later in June 2012 that Tarbert’s Swanky Bar held its first “Farmers’ Fair”, describing a night of competitions and prizes.[3]

In 2011, the Kerryman reported that a Movember event took place at The Swanky Bar in Tarbert, where moustaches and beards grown by local men were shaved off to raise funds.[4]
