The Irish Independent's Fingal County Council planning notice dated 05/01/2001 recorded Classic Taverns Limited seeking alterations and extension at 18-19 Main Street, Howth, including change of use of the disused shop at no. 18 and part of the existing ancillary space of no. 19 to public bar, with Top House Public Bar named in the notice.[2]
The Irish Times reported on 07/11/2001 that Judge Liam Devally dismissed a GBP30,000 damages claim arising from a fall at The Top House pub, Main Street, Howth, and awarded the pub legal costs estimated at GBP3,500.[3]
