Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref N0317 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for THE GRAND HOTEL at AND PREMISES ATTACHED AND ADJOINING THERETO, COAST ROAD, MALAHIDE in CO. DUBLIN with GRAND HOTEL MALAHIDE LIMITED as licensee.[1]

Irish Times reported in 2011 that Malahide's Grand Hotel had opened in 1835, was owned by Matt Ryan, had 203 rooms, and employed more than 200 staff.[2] Irish Examiner reported in 2025 that FBD's hotel subsidiary agreed to acquire the Grand Hotel in Malahide for EUR55 million.[3] The same report said the Grand Hotel employed more than 200 people, dated back to 1835, and had been in the Ryan family's ownership since 1974.[3]
