Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S0279 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for CHARLES FITZGERALD ALBERT HOUSE at 11 SANDYCOVE ROAD, DUN LAOGHAIRE in County Dublin with CHARLES FITZGERALD LIMITED as licensee.[1] The Irish Independent reported in 2020 that Fitzgerald's Albert House in Sandycove was for sale with a guide price of about two and a half million euro, and that the Fitzgerald family had owned and operated the pub for about 60 years.[2] The same report described the pub as having Joycean associations and said Tom Fitzgerald was involved in the local Bloomsday Festival marking Joyce's Ulysses, partly set at Sandycove's Martello Tower.[2]
