PubHub lore

Local notes

Established

Trading at 8 Coburg Street since 1889.

Earlier uses

Coburg Street was once known as Madden's Field — an overnight holding pen for live animals being exported to England. The pub takes its name (Irish for 'that's it') from the funeral parlour next door.

Music

Cork city's longest-running home of traditional Irish music. Sessions running here weekly since the early 1970s — when most other Cork pubs had shut their doors to trad. Live trad has been on the menu through the decades when it was deeply unfashionable. Sessions every night of the week. Tuesday at 9.30pm; Friday and Sunday at 6.30pm; daily from 7pm. No tourist set list — the same musicians come back week after week.

Reputation

More than 50 years of unbroken weekly sessions. The cornerstone of Cork's trad scene.
