Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref ENP0010 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for MAGPIE BAR at MAIN STEET, CLARECASTLE in CO. CLARE with EILEEN GARLAND as licensee.[1]

Irish Examiner reported in 2011 that Ennis Circuit Court granted an emergency injunction to Eileen Garland of the Magpie bar, Main Street, Clarecastle, after a neighbour's workers demolished the wall separating the properties.[2]

The report said the area bounded by the wall included a beer garden and smoking area installed on foot of planning permission.[2]
